Automated Electric - Zero Emission - Light Rail Alternative
Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions while providing High Speed, Personal Transportation.
With the advancements in Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Technologies, the only element missing from Zero Emission High Speed Transportation is a dedicated Roadway. Automated vehicles traveling at high speed will require special infrastructure to reach their full potential. Lack of an appropriate roadway will limit the capabilities of future automated vehicles and the technologies they will incorporate.
Commuters of the future will demand convenient transportation that will allow them to use their own personal automated vehicle or Uber type vehicle when traveling medium distances.
The ElectraGuidetm Trackway system is designed to replace Light Rail commuter transportation. The main constraint with rail installations is their inherent inefficiency. Typically, a railway remains idle for an hour or more between trains.
With the ElectraGuidetm system -
- The trackway will be in continuous use.
- Train component purchases are not required - vehicles will be owned by the
operator or rental company.
- No futuristic technology is required. Components of the system already exist.
- Vehicle batteries will charge directly from the trackway, eliminating range anxiety.
- Commuters will be able to work or rest while traveling.
- Vehicle drafting will create a partial vacuum, a function which will provide high efficiency and
reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The power of drafting can be shown by the accomplishment of Denise Mueller-Korenek.
On September 16, 2018, she set a speed record of 184 mph on a 'Bicycle' . This feat was accomplished by drafting behind a screen attached to a race car.
Our goal is production of the ElectraGuidetm High Speed Trackway system for automated electric vehicles and, as a complimentary project, production of archival footage of our progress for use in a future film in the spirit of 'Who Killed the Electric Car' and 'Revenge of the Electric Car. The proposed film has a working title of 'Bride of the Electric Car'.
Watch for our crowdfunding efforts.
